Our holiday turned out to be postponed a little. So, let us share with you some more interesting stories from our life while we are still at home.
Much time has passed since we last had the meeting of the children’s art-group! One child is ill then another one… But in May we decided that one of its Sundays will be definitely devoted to the children’s meeting but… different circumstances interfered again.
We decided not to give up! And started to adjust the circumstances to us
. Marina and Gulya had wanted to drop in at our place for a long time already. “So, we will hold the art meeting with them! And it does not matter that they are adults. They love kids so much
” – I thought.
And again circumstances. I’d planned for us one kind of art but it did not happen: just did not have time to buy everything we could need (but everything was for the better – we’ll leave that idea for the next meeting with kids
). But, frankly speaking, I was already sure that there would not be any art at all. But in the morning on Sunday Soniya (2 yrs) and I went to the florist’s to buy some flowers for the creation of a festive atmosphere in our room!.. And my mind started to work, very quickly, inventing something (already on the previous day I’d felt the state of joy typical for such collective meetings, that is why “nothing” simply could not take place
).
That state increased when we conducted the first part of the meeting – the meditative one! And we started creating in that state of joy!
I offered Soniya, aunt Marina and aunt Gulya the main elements for the future cards: skeletonized leaves and butterflies which we’d bought together with flowers. And all the rest for the cards was what we’d got at home.

The cards turned out to be quite different!
In Soniya’s and my variant Read the rest of this entry »

We are starting a new Project in our blog:
Very Creative Person.
Interview and tutorials with creative people
And today we are inviting you to meet Nadezhda, a mother of two sons, Silvestr (3,5) and Makar (2). Actually, you already know Nadezhda as some time ago she told us how to make design paper in home environment. And today she’ll tell us how to make beautiful and healthy soap both for children and parents, such soap that is a little work of art. It can be a great homemade gift!

Nadezhda with her elder son Silvestr
Parents’ Ideas: Nadya, could you, please, tell us how you learnt that it is possible to make soap in home environment?
Nadezhda: I learnt about such soap by chance – saw it in the Internet. My sister presented me with a woolen set for children and when I was looking for the material about wool there was soap among the other woolen abundance. Very artistic and it attracted me immediately. There was soap rolled in wool and soap which was just soap.

The International Women’s Day, March 8, has passed but the desire to create is still here!
Our project “Homemade Cards and Gifts – Interesting Ideas Every Day!” would not be complete if we did not share one more type of cards with you (which will finish our project). Such a card is both a card and a gift!
Homemade Embroidered Cards
Such a card will remind the person who you presented it with about it for a long time: thanks to its format, it is also a bookmark.

Today is March 8 – the International Women’s Day in Russia and in many other countries. It is a holiday of the sun, joy, femininity, coziness, warmness and beauty. And we wish all of you, dear ladies, adult and young, a spring sun within and around!
What can the card made on March 8 look like? Of course, it should be cheerful! Shining! And quick in preparation! And it is much desirable that the card should be made from such things which can be found not leaving home.
Homemade Cards Made of the Materials Found at One’s Fingertips
Our daughter and I made this camomile from a muffin cup and bay leaves (in Russia they are used for cooking soup). The background is yellow velvet paper.

Soon cherry will start blossoming in our country – in about a couple of months

Today’s card is quite unusual. Three-dimensional and movable. And at the same time it has fully preserved the functions of the traditional card: it is made of paper and inside there are felicitations and warm wishes. And, of course, you can present somebody with it! And it will serve for a longer time than the usual card. So, here it is - card-mobile in “twitter” style :

One more:

May be, those who regularly read our blog have noticed that we have recently widened our presence in the Internet and now we are also writing in “Twitter”. And today we suggest You to make your own “home Twitter”. Look, there are pipes made of paper where you can see the birds known to many
, many-coloured sheets of paper. You can write warm wishes on the occasion of holidays on them (as it is a card!) and when the holiday has passed why not continue using this mobile as a carrier pigeon … for the exchange of letters

It’s already the fifth day of spring! Let’s maintain spring atmosphere in our blog, too! We’re presenting you one more style of cards within the framework of our project “Homemade Cards and Gifts – Interesting Ideas Every Day!”
Unique Homemade Cards
The central element of this card is a skeletonized leaf. Do not be scared by the name. Such leaves are called so in flower shops (at least in Russia).

We’d like to present you a third card in our project “Homemade Cards and Gifts – Interesting Ideas Every Day!”
Have you ever thought of an additional functionality of the hole punch?
Cheerful Homemade Cards
The idea of this card is not only in laborious work (though I somehow managed to glue all these circles when our little daughter was nearby – I gave her some of the circles for her own, tot’s, card
) ). The composition and the texture of the materials are also important in the card.

If our yesterday’s card which opened the project “Homemade Cards and Gifts – Unique Ideas Every Day!” was totally created by adults (our little daughter’s input was the colouring of baking paper), today’s card has been fully made by children! They made it at one of the meetings of the children’s art-group.
Homemade Cards – Crafts with Kids
The main idea of this card is the uncommonness of the materials which were used. Or, to be more exact, this tender card has become a result of combining quite usual things.
