A photo camera is a part and parcel of the things prepared for a holiday. And if there is a child in the family, a camera is almost the most important thing: the pleasant pastime and the development of your precious one should stay in the memory of all the relatives and, possibly, friends! Mummies and daddies are really upset when they find out that in some photos people have red eyes. One of our acquaintances said, “Our son caught such a huge fish and these red eyes in the picture spoil everything!”
I also remember the wedding of another friend of ours. Almost in all the pictures which were taken inside the house, in the Registry Office and in the restaurant the bride, the bridegroom and some of their guests have red eyes. The smart photographer, most possibly not thinking for a long time, did the following: he asked the bride what colour her eyes and the eyes of her beloved one are and then painted them in the “appropriate” colour. As a result, in one of the pictures the eyes of the bridegroom were going to jump out and the eyes of some guests were turned in different directions.
But to take away the “red eye” effect is very simple. First, open the picture in Photoshop.

Now let’s do the following:
1. Enlarge the picture with “Zoom Tool”.

2. Choose “Burn Tool”.

If there is no such a Tool on your Tool Panel, press “Dodge Tool” with the right key of the mouse and then choose “Burn Tool”.

3. Placing the Tool, with the help of the mouse, onto the image, we are choosing the appropriate diameter (which should be equal to the diameter of the red eye).

4. Now let’s darken the red space with the left key of the mouse.
5. Finally, we are going to make the lights a bit brighter. In the upper square of the Tool Panel choose one of the light grey tones (with the left key of the mouse).

6. Choose Pencil Tool and placing it onto the light in the eye and choosing the appropriate diameter (with the right key of the mouse) apply the chosen colour to the light (with the left key of the mouse).

Here is the result of our work:
